titled \u201c<strong>Transformation or Adaptation? Private Law and New Technologies<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p><p>The conference centers around the question when technological progress, such as the rise of AI, requires a complete transformation of legal frameworks and when cautious adaptation is sufficient instead.\u00a0 The conference aims to present various views on how private law should be \u2018updated\u2019 to meet the challenges arising from novel, technologically-enabled social and commercial practices.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-10f96034\" data-id=\"10f96034\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-657c2e64 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"657c2e64\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A great variety of speakers with different backgrounds is invited to share their views at three plenary sessions: I. <strong><em>Adapting Private Law to New Technologies<\/em><\/strong>, II. <em><strong>AI Liability in the EU<\/strong><\/em>, III. <em><strong>Transformations in Private Law<\/strong><\/em>. He is editor-in-chief of the European Review of Private Law (ERPL), editorial board member of the international Arbitration Law Review (IALR) and board member of the German-Dutch lawyers\u2019 Association.<\/p><p>At the conference, he will speak on the topic : <strong><em>Performance by AI: The End of Contract Law As We Know
