AI and personalised medicine promise more efficient and effective healthcare. Already, various forms of machine learning are improving diagnosis. AI&#8217;s usefulness in other complex clinical processes &#8211; prognosis, prevention, treatment decisions &#8211; is currently under investigation.\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 17px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">AI offers opportunities in all phases of medical care, from diagnosis to treatment. However,\u00a0<\/span>there are important legal, ethical and social considerations that should be investigated as AI systems are transforming clinical practices.
