for Information Law (IViR) at the University of Amsterdam, was invited to speak at the European Parliament&#8217;s IMCO Committee workshop on&nbsp;<span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">the Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-161a5e67 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"161a5e67\" href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/committees\/en\/the-dsa-and-dma-a-forward-looking-and-co\/product-details\/20210416WKS03461\"><strong>workshop<\/strong><\/a>, held by the European Parliament&#8217;s Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) Committee on 26 May 2021, explored possible conclusions and recommendations on the DSA and DMA and aimed to gather evidence on the expected effects of the regulation of online intermediaries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Joris van Hoboken, one of the project leaders of the recently launched&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dsa-observatory.eu\/\"><strong>DSA Observatory<\/strong><\/a> at IViR, was among the six experts invited to speak at the European Parliament workshop. In his talk, he shared his views and recommendations on the DSA&#8217;s safe harbors, due diligence obligations and new transparency and accountability requirements for online ads.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A
